The Ultimate Springtime Beauty Bucket List

I’m officially settled back in London for the final trimester of the school year. It’s warm enough here where it actually feels like spring so I’m inspired to share some bright and colorful beauty products that you’ll be dying to buy and try for the beautiful months ahead.

Who remembers my currently coveting lip product post where I talked about how I felt my makeup collection was incomplete without Buxom’s Full On Lip Cream? I’ve managed to get my hands on this gloss and I can’t stop wearing it, I carry it in my purse everywhere I go. The product has a tingly plumping agent, minty smell and taste, sheer color application and smooth formula which work together to create a complete and perfect package. I’ve been wearing this in a few colors but my current favorite is Grape Groove.

Just when I thought the Better Than Sex Mascara by Too Faced couldn’t get any better, in walks the new and improved waterproof version. If you have oily skin and your mascara tends to transfer, or you live in an area where it’s already warm enough to go swimming then this is definitely the product for you. Just make sure you take the extra care to remove your mascara before bed with an oil-based eye makeup remover. Waterproof makeup won’t budge and come off unless you use a remover that can really melt it away.

It can be tricky to find the right balance with blush, bronzer and highlighter in the springtime. During this season, I switch over to the infamous no-makeup-makeup look. Even though I keep my makeup more natural when it’s warmer out, I still wear a full face. You will find the appropriate amount of pigment and staying power in this gorgeous Cheekathon Blush & Bronzer Palette by Benefit–and if you purchase the whole kit, you’ll get a lot of bang for your buck.

Aside from switching up my makeup in the Spring, I also like to have fun with new nail polishes. The OPI New Orleans collection has really blown me away. I love how intense and unique the colors are and I don’t mind bringing my bottles of polish to a manicurist since the formula lasts such a long time–I’ve worn my favorite color of the collection, I’m Sooo Swamped, for a week and a half without a single chip! Polishes like these definitely make a professional paint job worth the ten bucks.

I’ve never written about fragrances here before so you can totally trust that my first perfume recommendation is a good one. I tried out the Nest Fragrances Citrine perfume while I was on the hunt for a scent to include in a story for, featuring beauty products that are perfect for stashing in your purse. The citrus and floral notes are refreshing and add the best final touch to the rest of your springy look.
